The free InfoCons application allows you to scan the QR code on the energy label of household appliances and electronic devices, to find out information such as:

– Calculation for energy consumption;
– the energy class;
– The manufacturing company;
– General informations;
– Comparison with other similar products;
– Recycling mode;
– The possibility of subscribing to reports.

The categories of household appliances and electrical devices whose QR codes can be scanned with the free InfoCons application are:
– Refrigerators;
– Dishwasher;
– Washing machines;
– Dryers;
-TV and PC monitors.

The free InfoCons application also facilitates the verification of the correctness of the information displayed on household appliances and electrical devices. In this way, by scanning the QR code on the energy label, the information generated by the application can be compared with the written information on the product, to see if the respective product really falls within the class indicated on the label or if, on the contrary, the information they are different.

InfoCons advises consumers who wish to purchase products on Black Friday to:
– monitor the prices of the product you wish to purchase for 30 days, so that the discount is real;
– check at the time of purchase if the product is available in stock;
– check if the displayed price is complete (VAT included or not);
– check if the price includes the shipping costs of the product;
– check, before confirming the order, if the price of each product in the cart is equal to the discounted price indicated when choosing the product.

The seller has the obligation to inform consumers correctly and completely. A series of information must be published on its website:

– Identification data (name, postal and electronic address, telephone number, registration number in the commercial register of the company and that of the tax registration)
– Identification data (name, postal and electronic address, telephone number, registration number in the commercial register of the company and that of the tax registration)
– Essential characteristics of the products
– The price inclusive of taxes
– Shipping costs, if any
– Methods of payment and shipping
– The period in which the offer or price is valid
– Minimum duration of the contract, if the contracts provide for periodic supplies of a product
– The existence and methods of exercising the right to unilaterally withdraw from the contract.
Any price reduction announcement expressed in absolute value or as a percentage must be made visible, legible and unambiguous for each identical product or group of products:
– or by indicating the new price next to the previous strikethrough price;
– or by indicating “new price” – “old price” next to the corresponding amounts;
– either by quoting the discount percentage and the new price that appears next to the previous strikethrough price.

Any price reduction announcement expressed in absolute value or as a percentage must be made visibly, legibly and unequivocally for each product or group of products:
– Or by signaling the new price next to the previous one, crossed out
– O Through the wording “new price”/”old price” next to the corresponding numbers
– Or by mentioning the reduction percentage and the new price next to the previous price, crossed out

Black Friday or rather Black Friday should be a day, but in Romania it has become a week, a month or even more. A period that is more for marketing. Regardless of the period, the citizen as a consumer must not forget that regardless of the amount of the discount, he does not have reduced rights.
We have the same 2-year guarantee for durable products, we have the same right to return products purchased online within 14 days, we have the same right to be transparently informed of the product’s characteristics. It is useless to have rights if these are not exercised. I think that Black Friday could last a day, a week, a month or even more, however, each of us must exercise our right, inquire before buying, scan electronic products and appliances with the InfoCons application and must be aware of the real cost of the products, especially for electronics and appliances and from the point of view of electricity consumption for the durability period or at least for the two years of guarantee
