Wizz Air has suspended four routes that were to be operated in the 2023 summer season to and from Romania. The Hungarian low-cost carrier removed two routes to and from Cluj Napoca from its booking system, one to and from Sibiu and another to and from Bucharest. The four routes were to be operated by Wizz Air in the 2023 summer season, but that will no longer be the case. From its operational base in Cluj Napoca, Wizz Air will no longer fly to the cities of Billund (Denmark) and Turin (Italy).
Flights between Cluj Napoca and Turin were inaugurated on August 3, 2022, and on November 6, 2022, the low-cost airline operated the last flight on this route. Also on 22 March, In 2023 the Hungarian company will operate its last flight between Sibiu and Hahn airport in Germany. The Bucharest – Vienna route, currently operated three times a week, will be suspended on March 24, 2023. With the exception of the Bucharest – Vienna route, where Austrian Airlines and Ryanair will continue to fly, none of the other three routes will fly another airline.
